“Whispering Between Worlds”

Mixed media on linen (reclaimed bedcover), handprinted papers and denim, saree silk, jute, hand stitched flower on silk

15,5 x 64 cm

Wispering Between Worlds“: A front pocket from old jeans—transformed through gel plate printing and pressed wildflowers—anchors this piece in quiet memory. Above, a leaf and moon-like form emerge in a twilight palette of kaki and blue, inviting a dreamlike stillness. A burgundy hand-stitched flower on golden-yellow silk nestles in the corner, in silent communion with the moon-leaf shape, forming a triad that hums with unseen connection.

Surrounding textures—fragments of golden silk, jute, and handpainted paper—are layered in the spirit of boro and wabi-sabi, evoking the soft resilience of time-worn beauty. Delicate prints of dried grass echo from the background, like whispers of growth and continuity, holding the piece in gentle balance.
