Natural Flow: Peace rests on a turquoise-blue-golden ground that carries a hand-painted brushstroke across layers of denim-toned paper, silk fragments, and jute. The cool, luminous palette evokes calm, clarity, and emotional balance. Through the interplay of soft and rough materials, the work suggests a quiet strength — a flow that steadies the spirit and opens space for serenity.

Natural Flow is a series of intimate mixed media wall hangings, where fragments of life are gathered, layered, and set into quiet motion. Each work begins with a hand-painted background in deep hues of turquoise, orange-gold, or warm yellow, over which brushstrokes on handmade paper create fluid focal points.

The surfaces are further enriched with camouflage and denim-inspired printed papers, gel plate nature prints, and delicate touches of saree silk. To balance these refined elements, rough jute is introduced—dyed to harmonize with the palette and transformed into both texture and structure. The jute also forms the hanging system: each piece is finished with a carved wooden rod that slides through, allowing the work to hang simply and naturally.

In this series, Ursula Wetzig reimagines the tradition of still life. Rather than capturing objects in stillness, she explores life itself in motion—flowing, imperfect, and deeply connected to the materials of the everyday.
